Liberty Delight Farms voluntarily participated in the Maryland Department of Agriculture’s Water Quality Program. This program is designed to help protect the water quality in Maryland by taking specific steps to limit livestock accessibility. One of the first steps we took was to fence off over 20,000 linear feet of stream banks to prevent free will crossing by the livestock. We then installed a 24’ x 40’ stream crossing for the livestock. Lastly, we built two gravity flow watering facilities which will provide the livestock with fresh natural spring water that free flows from the streams on the farm. Water is diverted from the streams and springs on the farm to the water facility and back flows back to the streams.
